The Story of Kempolo
In Lamwo District, Mr. Bongomin inherited a two-hectare coffee farm established in 1759 by his father. Seeing coffee’s promise beyond subsistence, Kempolo Coffee was born to empower farmers, conserve our land, and turn local harvests into lasting opportunity for the community.
It wasn’t long before coffee beans and their stimulating effect traveled far and wide.

Quality is never accidental. one cannot honor coffee without honoring the land, words fall short of lived effort, they shift as seasons pass, as hands nurture trees, as each harvest reflects shared responsibility.
We had a calling, too. empowerment, we named it, but we had walked with farmers for a long time. we knew that calling was more than language, just a space to heal what was lacking; that when communities thrive, you won’t need words for fairness or care.
